North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said on September 15 that North Korea is strengthening its alliance with Russia, according to reports.
The two countries signed a mutual defence treaty in 2024, and North Korean troops have been reported fighting alongside Russian forces against Ukraine.
The statement did not announce new agreements.
