Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on September 7 that 97% of Russia's trade with BRICS, SCO and Eurasian partners is settled in national currencies, adding that there are many options to stop the dollar being used for "blackmailing and oppression," according to reports.
Russia has shifted away from the dollar since Western sanctions cut it off from much of the global financial system.
The 97% figure is Russia's own; independent data may differ.
