The United States redeployed the USS Gerald R.
The United States redeployed the USS Gerald R. Ford, the world's largest aircraft carrier, to the war with Iran, according to reports on April 3.
An aircraft carrier group adds significant air power and is often used to signal resolve as much as to fight.
The report did not give the carrier's exact position or mission. US Navy statements are the reliable source for deployment details.
